Takisha's career has taken her from the great outdoors to the great indoors.

Raised in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, where basketball is the mecca of sports, Takisha learned how to play basketball as soon as she could walk. Her love for the sport led her to play competitively and teach others at the highest level.

Takisha, the first woman to become a head coach of a men's Army basketball team, led the Saudi Arabia Riyadh Army troops to two consecutive division championships. This accomplishment led to her being named a Power Coach!

After serving four years in the Army, Takisha moved to Washington, D.C., to start her second career. Her love for sports and coaching led her to a career path as a personal trainer where she quickly became one of the top and most sought-after personal trainers in D.C. After 15 years of early morning
4 a.m. workouts and rapidly aging knees from years of basketball, she knew that it might be time to switch gears.

Takisha embarked on a new adventure: real estate. She partnered with her younger brother, a prominent real estate investor. He chose to buy and renovate homes instead of playing sports. After working with her brother and managing and completing many fix and flip projects, Takisha discovered her next passion: real estate. Takisha learned quickly that real estate, like basketball, required patience, dedication and grit. And like personal training, selling real estate required a different plan for every person and every home.

The best part about Takisha as a realtor is that she works very closely with her clients to facilitate results. Tailoring her approach for every client, Takisha negotiates for optimal outcomes while keeping her clients engaged and excited with her energetic presence and easy communication style. Takisha's knack for closing deals has helped her to become a very successful real estate agent in her area.

Takisha chose to settle in Washington, D.C. where she purchased her first home in the booming area of the H. Street Corridor, a community that she and her wife both loves. However, you can still find Takisha on the basketball court playing a mean game of HORSE or traveling coast to coast with her wife Katrina.
